About The Opportunity Ledger
I’m David Krystal, a senior at Stuyvesant High School. I built and run The Opportunity Ledger to help students find opportunities they might otherwise miss.
Each year, Mr. Blumm’s Student Opportunity Bulletin brings Stuyvesant students hundreds of programs, internships, scholarships, and competitions. Nearly all are open to students across New York City. But they arrive as a stream of documents, making it hard to keep track of what is available and when to apply.
The Ledger brings listings scattered across PDF files into one searchable catalogue of 1,499 opportunities, with deadlines, costs, and eligibility requirements so you can filter to what fits you. It identifies which opportunities are still open and moves closed ones into an archive that stays searchable.
Every listing links back to the exact bulletin page it came from. The Ledger also checks listings against programs’ own websites to verify dates and details.
It is free and open to every student in New York City.
Sources and independence
The primary source of opportunities featured on this site is the Student Opportunity Bulletin, published by Mr. Blumm for Stuyvesant students.
The Opportunity Ledger is an independent project endorsed by the Stuyvesant Parents’ Association. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Stuyvesant High School.
The bulletins
Each listing identifies every bulletin in which it appeared, so you can read the original wording. If a link is broken or a title or deadline needs correction, the corrected information is displayed without changing the original record. The original bulletin text remains available for reference.
